Here's my Italian Street Corner environment - my final project for the MA Game Art at Escape Studios. I wanted to create a bright, inviting environment as a change to the horror theme of my previous project. The scene is set in the morning time in a quaint town in Tuscany. This has been a great opportunity to combine the skills I have learned so far.
Thanks for taking a look!
All the assets in the scene were modelled using a combination of Maya, Z-Brush and SpeedTree. Texturing was done in Substance Painter for unique assets, and the Megascans library was used for tiling textures and decals. The scene runs in Unreal Engine 5 and utilises the Lumen lighting system as well as Nanite for the higher poly assets. Vertex painting is used on the buildings along with decals to add more detail and wear and tear.
I would like to thank Mark Komorowski for allowing me to take inspiration from his beautiful Street Corner painting (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KrVAeo). I'm unable to find the artist for the second main concept piece but I would like to thank them as well.
